How to get to Città della Pieve

We are just a couple of km outside of the town of Città della Pieve, in Umbria, roughly half way between Florence and Rome.

Città della Pieve can be reached easily by car, the nearest A1 motorway exits are CHIUSI - CHIANCIANO coming from Florence and FABRO coming from Rome.

The nearest airport is PERUGIA, followed by FLORENCE, ROMA FIUMICINO e ROMA CIAMPINO at around a 90-120 min drive away. All the airports are also connected to our town by train.

The closest train station is CHIUSI - CHIANCIANO TERME, at the bottom of the valley, 10min drive away and connected by public bus as well.

PERUGIA AIRPORT (50km)Bus to Perugia Station, then train to TERONTOLA then change train to CHIUSI - CHIANCIANO TERME (time 2h+). By Taxi directly to Città della Pieve 70-90€

On The PARTY NIGHT

PARKING -

There will be VERY limited parking at and around our house (and access to the house and road must be free for the catering van to go in/out) so we have highlighted on the map some nearby areas you can leave your car and walk few hundred meters - please park nicely and leave room for more cars when possible!

SHUTTLE -

We are looking into getting a taxi service to get people from Città della Pieve to our house and then back at the end of the night, so no one will need to drink and drive, will keep you posted!

WHERE TO SLEEP

Città della Pieve

Città della Pieve is a small town but quite touristic, so there are plenty of options for hotels, bnb, agriturismi as well as for food. HOWEVER April 25 is a National holiday, and the start of a bank holiday weekend immediately after the Easter school holidays, so everything is going to be booked up pretty fast!

Below a list of nice places we have already contacted that have availability and are (apparently) giving you a special price. They are all in the center of town or in walking distance. You are welcomed to contact them directly or let us know if you need help.

There is a free campervan area just outside of Città della Pieve (with water and electricity) and you are free to put up a tent in our olive grove at the end of the party - but please keep in mind April weather could be mad!

You can find many more options on airbnb, booking and if you are coming by car there are many many more just outside town. Keep in mind end of April may too cold for swimming in a pool!

Boat tour of lake Trasimeno

Tour of the lake stopping at Isola Maggiore. Boats capacity is 10 people and cost 280€ for a 2h tour.

Tulips picking / flower farm visit
