Ten years ago, Jennifer and Christian were married in a small church in Tuscany, with their reception at Borgo i Vicelli, just outside of Florence.
It was one of our first weddings working alongside Ilaria from Glam Events in Tuscany - a collaboration that would later turn into friendship.
Their families were deeply involved in all the wedding moments and the atmosphere was warm, the day felt very personal.
This summer, they returned to Florence for their ten-year anniversary.
The day before the renewal, we met at San Miniato al Monte for family photographs. There was Jen and Cristian and their two children, Jennifer’s parents and her sister’s family.
Looking through the camera, their faces felt so familiar. The same smiles, the same expressions, the same way of being close to each other. A decade had passed, but the essence of who they were hadn’t shifted.
The following day, Jen and Christian renewed their vows in a beautiful church in the centre of Florence. Ilaria was there again, this time planning a more intimate celebration.
There was a lot of emotion in the air - not only between Jennifer and Christian, but among the people who stood by them for years. After the ceremony, dinner took place on the Tornabuoni terrace overlooking the Arno river, simple and meaningful.
When Jennifer first chose us, 10 years ago, she told us that our images felt focused on relationships, on what was happening between people, not just around them. She says that they still watch their wedding film ten years later.
We believe that people do not travel back across countries, with extended family and friends, for nostalgia alone. They return because they felt seen the first time, they recognised themselves in the experience and in the images.
For us, seeing them again wasn’t just professional achievement. It was personal: we remember their wedding day clearly, their friends, the energy of their families. Being back into their lives, a decade later, feels natural - the continuation of a journey for both us and them.
This is the reason behind our work: not to photograph a beautiful day, but to be a witness of a life defining moment, and all the chapters that follow.
