Pienza is the ideal location for a romantic photoshoot such as this combined honeymoon and family session. The town of Pienza, in between Montalcino and Montepulciano, is considered the "touchstone of Renaissance urbanism" and it is a perfect backdrop for a photoshoot with all the charm of a Tuscan village: cobblestone roads, narrow alleyways, cute doors and classic Italian architecture.
But just few minutes outside of Pienza, the countryside offers beautiful views over the Orcia Valley with open fields and rolling hills in the background. During the spring the landscape is a luxurious green, and turns yellow and brown in the summer - such as in the famous scene from ‘Gladiator’ movie, that was filmed exactly here.
