The story, values, and experiences that shaped Innocenti Studio
Innocenti Studio began long before it had a name.
Emma Innocenti and David Steven Lee met in London in 2005, living next door to one another in a converted warehouse in Hackney — a creative environment shaped by artists, filmmakers, and photographers working at a professional level.
Emma was already established as a photographer and photographic director for DIVA Magazine; David was transitioning from fashion filmmaking with Nick Knight to running his own production company.
From the beginning, their work was shaped by high standards, technical discipline, and the ability to guide people through demanding situations with calm authority.
By 2010, they were working internationally for leading picture libraries including Getty Images, Corbis, and Adobe, producing photography and video used across editorial and commercial contexts worldwide. These environments required precision, consistency, and the ability to perform under pressure — skills that became second nature.
When they relocated to Italy in 2011, they brought this level of expertise with them. Alongside editorial and commercial work for luxury brands and agencies, they photographed a close friend’s wedding. The experience revealed something essential: weddings required the same level of technical and logistical mastery as major productions, but demanded far greater emotional intelligence and discretion.
Innocenti Studio emerged from this understanding.
Years later, following a life-altering illness, their priorities sharpened further. Experience had already taught them how to execute flawlessly; life taught them when to step back. The result is a way of working that combines high-level production expertise with a discreet, emotionally intelligent presence.
Today, Innocenti Studio exists to remove the emotional and logistical stress of being photographed. With over twenty years experience across editorial, fashion, and film, Emma and David work calmly and decisively, allowing events to unfold naturally while ensuring coherence, precision, and consistency in the final work.
Their role is simple: to create ease, protect presence, and deliver something that lasts.
