Several years ago, Nick reached out to plan a surprise proposal in Florence. He wanted everything to be perfect.
We discussed locations, timing, positioning — and like many proposals, it didn’t unfold exactly as imagined. That’s often the case. Surprise proposals carry nerves, shifting light, moving crowds, and a level of unpredictability that can’t be controlled.
What matters isn’t whether every detail follows the plan, but whether the moment feels protected.
Afterwards, Nick wrote: “Emma was absolutely incredible. She made planning the perfect proposal so easy and stress free. Having her insight on the best places to go was extremely helpful. Her photos were stunning and we are in love with so many of them.”
What stayed with us wasn’t the logistics. It was the trust.
This year, they came back.
The same city. The same location. A completely different chapter. Miral arrived wearing white again, and with another blue belt. Not the same dress, but intentionally close enough. Standing in that same place, years later, now with two children beside them, didn’t feel like a recreation. It felt like continuity.
The energy had changed entirely. The first time, there were nerves and anticipation. This time, there were bubbles, markers, movement, and laughter. The children ran ahead. We followed. Nothing needed to be orchestrated.
Photographing them again wasn’t about repeating what had already happened. It was about responding to who they are now. The first time we stood there, it was about a promise. This time, it was about a family. The location hadn’t changed. They had. And that was enough.
What they said
“Emma was absolutely incredible.
She made planning the perfect proposal so easy and stress free. Having her insight on the best places to go was extremely helpful.
Her photos were stunning and we are in love with so so many of them!
Emma was an absolute dream during the shoot and if you have the opportunity to book Emma I would highly suggest you do so.”
Nick, 2018
“We were so excited to see Emma again!
She did our proposal pictures back in 2018 in Florence and we got to meet her again in the same city and same location for our shoot, this time with our two kids!
She was so warm and joyful! She was great with our kids and even brought them some bubbles and markers. She really made us and the kids feel so at ease and captured our photos wonderfully.
So grateful for her and this opportunity!”
