For more than a thousand years, Castello di Meleto has stood on a hill overlooking the vineyards and forests surrounding Gaiole in Chianti. Set within one of the most recognisable landscapes of Tuscany, the castle is deeply connected to the history and traditions of Chianti Classico wine.

The Welcome Pizza Party
The wedding weekend began with a relaxed welcome dinner on a terrace overlooking the Tuscan countryside. Guests arriving from Brazil, Lebanon and across the world gathered together for their first evening in Chianti. The atmosphere was informal and joyful, with a buffet of Italian delicacies, a traditional pizza oven preparing fresh pizzas throughout the evening, and even an ice cream van for guests to enjoy under the Tuscan sky.
The Wedding Day
The day began in the beautifully decorated Bridal Suite at Castello di Meleto, where the bride and her bridal party prepared for the ceremony surrounded by the historic frescoed interiors of the castle.
The couple chose to celebrate their marriage with a Catholic ceremony at the nearby Pieve di San Giusto in Salcio, a small historic church located a short drive from the castle.
After the ceremony, guests returned to Castello di Meleto where they were welcomed with an aperitif on the terrace before the evening reception began in the castle courtyard.
Sunset Couple Shoots
Sunset is always a beautiful moment to step away briefly for a few intimate portraits. At Castello di Meleto the light falls across the hills behind the castle, illuminating the cypress-lined road and the surrounding vineyards. While the couple enjoyed a quiet moment together for photographs, guests were guided towards the courtyard for dinner — ensuring the celebration continued smoothly without missing any part of the evening.
Wedding Dinner & Celebration
Dinner was served in the main courtyard of the castle, where round tables were arranged beneath soft strings of lights and decorated with simple white floral arrangements.
The evening brought heartfelt speeches, moments of laughter and a few emotional surprises. At one point the groom serenaded his bride with Elton John’s Something About the Way You Look Tonight. The celebration continued with cake cutting, a dramatic sabrage to open the champagne, and a tunnel of sparklers leading the couple onto the dance floor for their first dance.
