Borgo Sant’Ambrogio is a centuries-old estate near Pienza, in the middle of Val d’Orcia: simply, the ultimate location for an unforgettable Tuscan wedding experience.
The wedding of A&N started with a traditional Thai Wedding Ceremony followed by a pool party; on the following day a symbolic wedding ceremony was followed by an aperitif in the garden and dinner in the courtyard of Borgo Sant’Ambrogio Estate.
The Thai Marriage Ceremony
The marriage of Adrian and Nanni started with a traditional Thai Wedding ceremony in Tuscany celebrated in the courtyard of Borgo Sant' Ambrogio. Friends and family were guided by Monks into a meditation session and a traditional Thai marriage ceremony that culminated with pouring blessed water onto the bride and groom’s hands.
Welcome Pool Party
The Thai marriage ceremony was followed by an informal reception near the pool with Thai buffet and outdoor games.
The Wedding Day
The following day A&N got ready to celebrate their wedding with the joyful company of their bridal party. The bride and bridesmaids had matching gowns in white and floral patterns that matched the colour palette of their flower bouquets.
The groomsmen were gifted liquor flasks with their names and wedding date engraved.
The Symbolic Wedding Ceremony
The symbolic wedding ceremony was held in the shaded terrace overlooking the beautiful Val d’Orcia.
The altar was simply decorated with two wooden columns topped by urns of flowers, and the symbolic ceremony was celebrated by a friend of the couple.
Guests were given small wooden hearts to write a message for the couple and advice on marriage, as well as colourful rose petals to throw on the couple as confetti after the ceremony.
The Wedding Dinner
Borgo Sant'Ambrogio has a secluded courtyard that is an ideal location for a wedding dinner.
Once the sun has set over the rolling hills of Val d'Orcia, the guests can move here to experience an authentic Tuscan village atmosphere.
It feels intimate and refined and will be ideal to accommodate guests around circular tables, such as in A&N wedding, as well as long imperial tables.
The Wedding Reception
The Wedding dinner was characterised by speeches and games in between the delicious courses by Chef Duccio Prussi. After the meal, the guests moved to an open courtyard for the after party reception, cake cutting and dancing.
