A surprise proposal in the countryside just outside Pienza, photographed quietly against the landscape of the Val d'Orcia, with Monte Amiata visible in the distance. After the proposal, we moved through the surrounding fields for engagement photographs, including views back towards Pienza and classic white roads with cypresses.

The final surprise unfolded later in the town of Pienza itself. Here, under the pretence of continuing the engagement session, we walked through Via dell’Amore, to reveal both families that had travelled secretly to Italy for the occasion, waiting at the end of the alleway. The moment that followed was immediate and emotional: confusion, tears, laughter and celebration all at once.
