Bree and Ty married at the border between Tuscany and Umbria, on the shores of Lake Trasimeno, in the grounds of the wonderful Castello Borgia.
Once property of the Borgia Family, in the 15th century the castle was transformed in a fortified advance post until, at the end of the 18th century, the Borgia Castle was returned into a comfortable residential building, very similar to the castle today. Outside it has stone façades, towers and Renaissance arches, while the interior rooms are decorated with beautiful frescoes and antique furniture, making a perfect choice for a timeless, romantic and elegant wedding in Umbria.
The symbolic ceremony was held in the private courtyard of the castle, and the bride walked down the staircase to the groom. The reception was set in front of the Borgia castle, overlooking the lake Trasimeno and towards the sunset. The wedding guests sat at an imperial table between towers and palm trees - a truly fairytale Australian destination wedding! Castello Borgia offers many beautiful settings for the couple wedding pictures: a grand stone staircase, the courtyard, the gardens, the treed lined road and of course the panoramic rooftop terrace overlooking the Lake Trasimeno. We loved everything about taking these wedding photographs: the magic atmosphere of the castle, the intimacy of the wedding, Bree and Ty relaxed attitude, love and fun! The ceremony was celebrated by the castle’s own wedding planner Julie Palombaro, of Wedding Italy I do, that took care of everything to give Bree & Ty the best wedding experience in Umbria!
