Jessica and Charlie wanted their Italian elopement to be celebrated in a beautiful corner of the Amalfi coast in Italy. When Jessica contacted us, she was still searching for the perfect wedding location between Ravello, Capri, Amalfi and Positano. They wanted a beautiful backdrop for their wedding elopement photographs and video in the Amalfi Coast: sweeping views of the sea and a picturesque village, and one intimate terrace where to say ‘I do’.
Jessica and Charlie finally decided for a Positano elopement, and set their date at the end of the touristic season. We have been many times, but we are never tired to photograph weddings in Positano! This time, however, we all faced a challenge and every bride’s worst nightmare: pouring rain. Uncharacteristically, this autumn Italy was swept by weeks of bad weather. We had been following closely the weather forecast but it all pointed to an elopement under the rain. Jessica and Charlie were wondering ‘what do you do if it rains on your wedding day?’ Well, if you are having an intimate wedding (where you don’t need to cater for many guests needs) you can choose to hide from the rain, or you can embrace it and make it the most amazing and unique experience! Luckily, we arrived in Positano the day before the wedding, to film some drone footage of the Costiera Amalfitana for the elopement wedding video. Jessica and Charlie jumped at the chance, and we video and photographed their first look before walking down to the main beach of Positano and onto the rocks, where the stormy sea was breaking huge waves. On the wedding day, Jessica and Charlie said their vows on the beach of Fornillo under a light rain, that soon turned into a proper romantic wedding storm! If you are having your elopement in Positano get in touch, as we have special photo and video elopement packages designed just for this!
